At least 20 people have been killed in a fresh attack by gunmen in Plateau State. The attack took place at night in a rural community in Jos North Local Government Area, where gunmen opened fire and burned homes.

Several people were injured, while many families fled to nearby communities for safety. In response, security forces have been deployed, and the state government has imposed a 48-hour curfew.

Officials say efforts are ongoing to restore calm and arrest those responsible. The attack is believed to be linked to long-standing land and resource disputes in the area.
